Getting Started

Top Hat is a web-based, interactive learning tool serving as a student response system. It streamlines the process of gathering student responses, enabling instructors to swiftly evaluate student comprehension, utilize insights to stimulate discussions, improve class dynamics, enhance LMS content, and more. 

University Center for Assessment, Teaching &  Technology (UCATT)

UCATT acts as a resource for instructors, fostering creative problem-solving about teaching, learning, and facilitating the collaborative development of stimulating and dynamic educational environments.

They can provide the following Top Hat support to instructors:

    • Assistance with incorporating Top Hat into your curriculum and making it an effective communication and engagement tool between you and your students.
    • Provide guidance on using Top Hat and integrating it with Brightspace.
    • Deliver support via email, phone, or one-on-one consultation. Training can be provided on how to effectively utilize Top Hat within your course.
