Types of Accounts
Outlook is an email and calendaring application provided to faculty and staff by the university. This includes Designated Campus Colleagues (DCCs). The university also offers options for emailing to or from groups based on your department's specific needs.
For more information about all these options:
- Microsoft Office 365 - used by employees to access all productivity apps provided by Microsoft, including Outlook (OWA)
- Designated Campus Colleagues - used by UA affiliates who need Outlook email accounts.
- Department and Service Email Accounts
- Department accounts are used to send emails from a department or group rather than a specific individual (e.g., FSO-ITSupport, NROTC, or Alumni.).
- Service Accounts are the same as shared Department accounts but require a separate password.
