This article shares information about using the UA Virtual Private Network (VPN) on an Android device.
VPN provides a secure connection from your home computer, laptop, or mobile device to the UA's network. It is also a valuable security tool when you are on an unsecured wireless network (e.g., coffee shops, airports).
UA's VPN client is the Cisco Secure Client.
Download and Install
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Search for Cisco Secure Client.
- Tap the Install button. The application will now download and auto-install.
- After installation is complete, return to the home screen and open the Cisco Secure Client app.
- When you first launch the app, you will be presented with an End User License agreement (EULA).
- You must Accept the agreement to continue.

- Upon clicking Login, the Duo Universal Prompt will use your default NetID+ log in option. The default option is the option that you last used with NetID+. Most users choose the Push option so this will be the most common default option.
