Wifi is recommended. In almost all cases, the connection speed of the wireless network will exceed that of the wired network. For more information on this topic, see Network Connectivity (students).

Connecting Wireless Devices That Can't Authenticate
If you have a device that can't perform the standard authentication process, you must register the device for the unencrypted UAGuest wireless network. To learn more about this process, see MyDevices Portal. This includes common devices such as Smart TVs, streaming devices, and gaming consoles.
Note: UA faculty, staff, and students may register up to five (5) personal devices. Registration is valid for one semester (180 days). At the end of this period, the device must be registered again using the portal.
Connecting Devices That Can't Use Wireless
If your device can only connect via a wired network, you'll need to contact the 24/7 Support Center for assistance with registering your device.
