This article serves as a guide to help you set up and use NetID+ which is the UArizona branded term for two-factor authentication (2FA).

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by combining:

• Something you know (your NetID & Password)
• Something you have (your smartphone with the Duo Mobile app)

The focus of this article is on setting up NetID+ (Duo) on your smartphone using the mobile app (although other 2FA methods are allowed, as described in the panels below). Setting up NetID+ (Duo) is required for all active members of the university community.
