Outlook - Set Up on Mac

This article describes how to set up your University of Arizona email account on a Mac.

To ensure the best security and feature support, we recommend using the most current version of Outlook included with Microsoft 365.

Outlook for Mac (Microsoft 365)

The current version of Outlook for Mac (part of the Microsoft 365 suite) is the preferred method for accessing your UA email. It supports modern authentication and integrates seamlessly with your NetID.

Instructions

  1. Log in to the Microsoft 365 Account portal.
  2. Select Install Office to begin downloading the software
  3. Go to Outlook > Settings > Accounts, then click the plus (+) sign and select Add Account.
  4. Type your full email address (e.g., netid.arizona.edu) and click Continue.
  5. When prompted by the UA login screen, enter your NetID password.
  6. Complete the Duo 2FA authentication prompt.
  7. Outlook will automatically configure your Exchange settings.
Apple Mail & Calendar

If you use Apple Mail and Calendar, you will need to manually set up your UA email account. The process can vary depending on the version of macOS that you are using. The screenshots below are for setting up the Monterey release of macOS.
