Create Your NetID


This article provides instructions on how to create your UA NetID. 

If you are an employee, you will receive the required information in two separate emails sent to the email address that you provided during the hiring process.

If you are a student, you will receive the required information in your acceptance letter.

Required Information

To create your UA NetID, you will need an employee or student ID number and a PIN number.

To find your ID and PIN:

Undergraduate Students
Check the admissions letter you received via email or in your Future Wildcat account.

Graduate Students
Check your GradApp account. 

Employees
Check your email. The message was sent to the email address you provided during hiring and will be from employeeselfservice@arizona.edu

Additional Considerations

Instructions
  1. Navigate to netid.arizona.edu.
  2. Click the Create a NetID button (top-right tile) 
  3. Enter the required information:
    1. 8 Digit Student ID / EMPLID
    2. PIN
    3. Your Date of Birth
  4. Click the Submit button and follow the on-screen prompts.

When creating your NetID password, consider the ISO guidance on Password Security.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) 

As part of creating your NetID, you must set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using Duo Mobile.

To complete the setup, click the Add New Device button and follow the steps outlined in the 2FA knowledge article.

If you do not enroll your device, you will not be able to access essential services, including your email. 

Note: You must complete the setup of 2FA within 48 hours of creating your NetID, or your login access will be removed until two-factor authentication has been activated.
