This article introduces policies that customers are asked to abide by when seeking help from the 24/7 Support Center.
Policies for Walk-in Service
- You must remain with your computer for the duration of your visit.
- Please have both your NetID and CatCard ready when you sign in at the check-in kiosk.
- You may not send anyone else in with your computer.
- You may be required to provide proof of ownership.
- We will not install software without the original media (CD or DVD) and license information (product keys).
- Laptop owners must have the power adapter with them at the time of service.
- Support staff reserves the right to reschedule your service if resolution will take longer than expected.
- Workbench computers are for support staff only.
- Please be courteous to others.
- If your behavior is disruptive, you will be asked to leave.
- Please refrain from using your cell phone while working with a technical consultant.
- No animals are allowed except assistive service animals.
- Campus regulations prohibit bringing bicycles into any building.
Policies for Phone, Chat, and Remote Assistance
- Please have both your NetID and CatCard ready when you call and/or sign in online.
- Phone, Chat, and Remote Assistance are services for UA students, faculty, and staff only. Please do not use your NetID to obtain service for someone outside of the UA.
- Not all issues can be addressed via Phone, Chat, and Remote Assistance; some may require a visit to the 24/7 IT Support Center.
- Please refrain from using your cell phone while working with a technical consultant.
